Capturing a high school senior’s full story often requires more than one photo session. Activities like duck hunting, fishing, and baseball are essential parts of their identity and need personalized sessions to capture the emotions and settings. Prom night is more than just a formal dance; it’s a celebration of friendship and youth. Together with our teens and families, we created prom pictures that reflected the beauty and excitement of prom night, preserving memories that they’ll cherish for years to come.

The 2024 LPJ Senior Rep Team participated in Project Beauty to combat unrealistic beauty standards by being photographed without makeup or edits. The project promotes internal qualities over physical appearance. Team members shared their belief that true beauty is seen as character, humility, and the spirit within, reflecting God’s love.

Recently in Chapel Hill, I experienced the poignant merging of my college days with the present, capturing senior portraits for Olivia, my former roommate’s daughter, as she prepares to attend our alma mater, Carolina. Joined by my daughter Cailyn, the sentimental reunion and photoshoot amidst Carolina’s treasured landmarks underscored the enduring bonds we share as Tar Heels.
