The great thing is that regardless of the settings or occasions, what I love most about my job never changes: when my subjects see their images, they feel FAMOUS, BIGGER than LIFE… and doesn’t everyone deserve to feel that once in a while?
Time does fly, and while I blinked the last 6 months passed. It has been SIX months since my last blog, introducing Team 2020. I won’t apologize, because I spent it photographing some amazing Seniors, and savoring the first half of my own girl’s Senior Year. The blogging could wait… but now I get to start showing you what we’ve been up to, as I cling with my fingernails to the last half of this special Senior Year.
This is Cailyn, my daughter, my heart. She is the youngest of our three children, and the only girl. I wish you could know her, because she would make your life richer, as she has mine. She has the most genuine soul. She is beautiful, extraordinary, but she doesn’t even realize it. She is kind, forgiving, even though she does get moody from time to time, and she loves with all her heart. She is is my Netflix binging buddy, my walking partner, my Tar Heel loving ally.
And she graduates from High School in five months.
I know how fast the last six months flew by… I am not ready for my normal to change without her being in my day to day.
But I am excited to see her future unfold. I am ready to see the path God will lay out for her, even as I pray that the desires of her heart line up fully with HIS desires for her.
The unknown is tough, and change can be stressful, and the next few months will be full of both. But in both there is also hope, and I am thankful for that… because the future is coming, whether this momma/photog is ready or not!
Beautiful girl and beautiful mama’s heart.
I appreciate you, and your kind words!
