The great thing is that regardless of the settings or occasions, what I love most about my job never changes: when my subjects see their images, they feel FAMOUS, BIGGER than LIFE… and doesn’t everyone deserve to feel that once in a while?
As a photographer and proud University of North Carolina alum, every chance to shoot on campus feels like coming home. But some photo sessions hit a little closer to the heart—and this one was truly special.
Meghan, the stunning senior in these photos, isn’t just any Carolina graduate. She’s the daughter of two of my closest personal friends—fellow Tar Heels who share my deep love for UNC and everything it stands for. Watching her grow into the incredible young woman she is today, and capturing her graduation photos, was an honor I’ll never forget.
UNC isn’t just a school—it’s a lifelong connection. For this family, it’s tradition, legacy, and love all rolled into one. Meghan’s parents both graduated from Carolina, and I’ve shared years of friendship with them—bonding over our Tar Heel ties, love for campus traditions, and especially, our shared passion for Carolina Sports.
Whether it’s tailgating on football Saturdays at Kenan Stadium, or our group texts celebrating every Carolina win and lamenting any stumble in even the most obscure olympic sport, our love for Tar Heel athletics runs deep.
We Heels love ALL of our sports. And we are really good at SO many… they don’t say UNC stands for “University of National Champions” for nothing!
These are the ties that bind us. Our priceless gems.
It’s part of what makes Carolina so magnetic, and for Meghan, that connection goes even deeper.
Not only is Meghan a devoted Carolina fan—she’s played a direct role behind the scenes as part of the Carolina Football team staff. Her dedication and hard work have helped shape the experience for countless players, coaches, and support staff.
It’s clear she didn’t just attend UNC—she contributed to its legacy in a meaningful way.
As we moved through campus for her graduation session, it was impossible not to reflect on all the places that shaped her journey, including a stop near the stadium that meant so much to her.
We began our session under the soft, golden light of a Chapel Hill spring early evening. The Old Well, South Building, the Bell Tower, and Kenan—each spot held a memory, a milestone, and that familiar Carolina charm.
The session was more than just a photo shoot—it was a celebration of legacy, sport, friendship, and family.
For us, UNC isn’t just where we went to school—it’s where we grew, cheered, worked, and built lifelong connections. Graduation photos are about more than gowns and diplomas; they’re about honoring that journey, those shared memories, and the Carolina Blue that runs through it all.
Are you a proud UNC senior or the parent of one? Let’s capture this milestone with photos that reflect everything you love about Chapel Hill—from game days to graduation day.
I’m here to freeze this special time with heartfelt, timeless images that tell your Carolina story. Leave me a message here.
