The Project Beauty Challenge, now in its 7th year, encourages our 2025 Senior Rep Team to embrace their natural selves by being photographed without makeup or edits. This initiative promotes the idea of true beauty beyond societal pressures and superficial ideals.

As summer turns to fall, Seniors embrace their “Senior Era,” relishing a year filled with bittersweet emotions and memorable milestones. The 2024 LPJ Senior Rep Team participated in Project Beauty to combat unrealistic beauty standards by being photographed without makeup or edits. The project promotes internal qualities over physical appearance. Team members shared their belief that true beauty is seen as character, humility, and the spirit within, reflecting God’s love.

Recently in Chapel Hill, I experienced the poignant merging of my college days with the present, capturing senior portraits for Olivia, my former roommate’s daughter, as she prepares to attend our alma mater, Carolina. Joined by my daughter Cailyn, the sentimental reunion and photoshoot amidst Carolina’s treasured landmarks underscored the enduring bonds we share as Tar Heels.

Lymarie offers a deluxe senior photography session that extends beyond mere portraits. This service includes a full experience of fashion consultation, professional hair and makeup, and a stress-free picture day where seniors are coached and celebrated.
