Society’s beauty standards, driven by media and advertising, often feed our insecurities. The Project Beauty Challenge, now in its 7th year, encourages our 2025 Senior Rep Team to embrace their natural selves by being photographed without makeup or edits. This initiative promotes the idea of true beauty beyond societal pressures and superficial ideals.

As summer turns to fall, Seniors embrace their “Senior Era,” relishing a year filled with bittersweet emotions and memorable milestones. Recently in Chapel Hill, I experienced the poignant merging of my college days with the present, capturing senior portraits for Olivia, my former roommate’s daughter, as she prepares to attend our alma mater, Carolina. Joined by my daughter Cailyn, the sentimental reunion and photoshoot amidst Carolina’s treasured landmarks underscored the enduring bonds we share as Tar Heels.

LPJ Senior Rep Team 2024’s second group shoot was a Galentines Day celebration of family and friendships, filled with food, fellowship, and gifts, all set to a “Pretty in Pink” theme.
