Project Beauty is more than a photoshoot. It’s an experience that challenges girls and moms to step in front of the camera unfiltered, unedited, and completely themselves. Through honest portraits, faith, and conversations about identity and self-worth, Project Beauty reminds women they are already worthy, valuable, and fearfully and wonderfully made.

The 2024 LPJ Senior Rep Team participated in Project Beauty to combat unrealistic beauty standards by being photographed without makeup or edits. The project promotes internal qualities over physical appearance. Team members shared their belief that true beauty is seen as character, humility, and the spirit within, reflecting God’s love.

Project Beauty 2021, despite COVID-19’s disruptions, captured the essence of its senior participants, pushing past traditional beauty standards. These teens were photographed without makeup, urged to share personal beauty insights, redefining beauty as confidence, character, and inner light, rather than perfection.

Project Beauty aims to redefine beauty beyond societal expectations of perfection, emphasizing inherent worth and unique qualities. Photographer Lymarie captures her Senior Team’s natural essence, fostering self-acceptance through black and white portraits without makeup or retouching, alongside their reflections on true beauty’s internal nature.
